What do you do, exactly?
Children's Services Center is a nonprofit organization which provides many important services to area families including parenting education, support services for foster families and families with children at risk of abuse and neglect, training and resources for childcare providers, providing direct child care through the Milton Child Care Center, locally sponsoring the USDA Child Care Food Program and more.

Are you a government agency?
Children's Services Center is a private nonprofit, not a government agency.
How are you funded?
Services are funded through the Florida Department of Health, the Santa Rosa County School Board, the Families First Network, Lakeview Center, Inc., individuals, businesses and organizations throughout the area.
What kinds of donations do you need?
Although our needs vary, we can always use cash donations, and donations of new or gently used toys and books. We would be happy to sit with any potential donor to discuss our immediate needs. View our wishlist here, or call 595-5921 for more information.

How do I apply for employment?
Our position vacancies are posted through the Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Workshop, Florida Department of Labor, Jobs & Benefits Offices in Escambia County, Pensacola Junior College Student Services, University of West Florida Student Services, and Naval Air Station Pensacola and Whiting Field Spouse Employment Assistance Program.
Can staff come speak to my business, church or civic organization?
Staff at Children’s Services Center is happy to speak to groups about children's issues, our services and how you can get involved. Please call 595-5921 to schedule a speaker.
Where can I sign up for training to become a family child care provider?
You can register for state mandated family child care training at www.myflorida.com/childcare/training. If you’re uncertain which training you need you should call the Child Care Training Information Center at 1-888-352-2842.
How do I get my CDA?
The CDA or Child Development Associate is a national child care credential conferred by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington DC. Requirements for this credential can be found at www.cdacouncil.org. The equivalent Florida credential called FCCPC (formerly known as CDAE) is a professional credential conferred by the Florida Department of Children and Families. The credentialing program has a number of components including 120 hours of coursework.
Do you offer in-service opportunities for child care providers?
Yes, APEX offers 24 training hours of IACET certified online In-Service training. To view our course catalog or a sample course visit the home page of Children’s Services Center’s website, www.childrensservicescenter.org/onlinetraining.
Where can I get toys and books for my kids?
You can get free toys and books for your children by visiting CSC’s Parent Place located at Town and Country Plaza. Please see “other services” on CSC’s web site for more information.
How do I report a problem with my child care provider?
To make a complaint regarding your child care provider, please call 595-5968.
