Get Involved: Your Donations Help Children
Children's Services Center needs your help to support families.
For more than 35 years families have turned to Children’s Services Center for many important resources: toys, books, and clothing that at risk children need to learn and grow; budgeting, nutrition, and child management classes to empower mothers; training, diapers and car seats to help prevent child abuse and neglect; help finding child care so parents can work.
Please read how Children’s Services Center helped Mischel, a local mother:
“I improved my communication skills and learned how to manage my money though Survival Skills for Women. After years of struggling to make ends meet, I have exceeded my goal of saving $500.00 for Christmas. People at work and school comment on how I have changed for the better. Through Survival Skills I earned certificates for Children’s Services Center’s unique toy and book store, The Parent Place. I redeemed them for books that my five- year-old Godson Anthony picked out himself. We started a library for him. He now loves books so much he asks for them instead of toys. He recently earned an award for being productive in the classroom. I think it’s because he has gained new confidence from his reading.”
We know there are hundreds of mothers like Mischel and children like Anthony right here in our community who could benefit greatly from the kind of help only Children’s Services Center can provide.
