Parents: Resources for At-Risk Families
Parents who are struggling to raise their children can receive important help from CSC including parenting education and resources like diapers, formula and car seats.
With funding provided by Lakeview Center Inc., Children’s Services Center provides parenting resources and support to at risk children and their families. Our Protective Services Coordinator monitors child care attendance to ensure that child care providers comply with the Rilya Wilson Act and to ensure that our most vulnerable at risk children are accounted for on a daily basis. The Coordinator also provides in home support services such as Home Safety Assessments, Child Care enrollment and transportation coordination, and provides families in need of resources such as educational books, DVD, diapers, hygiene items, and safety items to be used in the home.
Through this contract, CSC is able to both parents and child care providers with training salient to at risk children including child abuse prevention, SIDS risk reduction, Survival Skills for Women, and Nurturing Parent training.
