To feel confident about the safety, integrity and quality of the child care program you select for your child, you need all the facts.  Children’s Services Center offers a free service that provides you with all of the tools and resources that you will need to make a good decision about quality child care for your child.

Through Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R), parents receive free instruction, support and information on choosing quality child care from a qualified specialist.  You will learn about the types of child care programs available, what to look for when you visit those programs and other steps you can take to feel confident about your child care choice.

What is Child Care Resource & Referral?

Child Care Resource and Referral services make it easy to get all the information you need about early child care and education programs for your children.

Through these free services, parents may receive:womanandchild

  • An unbiased list of area child care and early education programs, hours of operation, rates, licensing information, etc. based on your needs
  • Education on how to find quality, affordable and accessible child care
  • Parenting education on child development and child behavioral issues
  • Referrals to other agencies to meet additional family needs.

Most importantly, there are no qualifications for these free services. Any parent, regardless of income, may use Child Care Resource and Referral services to take the guesswork out of finding child care.

Children's Services Center is part of the statewide Child Care Resource and Referral Network funded by the Florida Partnership for School Readiness.

The CCR&R Network is administered by the state of Florida Office of Early Learning, under the Agency for Workforce Innovation. They operate a variety of programs that support quality early care and education, and work/family solutions for the families of Florida. Headquartered in Tallahassee, the OEL serves as the hub of the CCR&R Network of local child care resource and referral agencies located throughout the state.

Local R&R's offer free information and referral services to all families seeking quality early care and school readiness programs and out of school time solutions. R&R's also assist in the recruitment, startup and support of providers and promote quality, availability and affordability of services available in their communities.

The CCR&R Network maintains the only comprehensive statewide database of child care, school readiness and school age programs and service providers.
